Comrades!

Team list below. Please arrive at 13:00 as we shall start sharp at 14:00 and we want to see everybody there and smart and pringly and ready for a damn good match. If the weather stops the match from even starting, we shall call everybody as soon as we can. But fingers crossed for good weather!

Some notes:

  • Don’t run over the wicket to celebrate a wicket or between overs and cut up the protected area. This is not our wicket and that patch of grass is vital. It is two feet across the centre line of the pitch and effectively runs along the pitch. Jump or just plain avoid it.
  • Read the rules.
  • What we don’t want to hear is a chorus of: “I don’t know how to score” and “I’ve never ump’d. I don’t know what to do”. Comrades, get some balls and learn. It will make our team more knowledgeable, more brave and more victorious. Sit with a scorer, ump with a wiser ump.
  • Match fee is £10… so have cash on the day. This covers tea as well.
  • Arrange your transport with a view to other comrades too. If you need a lift, shout on facebook. If you can help, you area great comrade!
  • Eat something decent and hour before we commence but not too close.
